Sitapur: Under the aegis of the Indian Red Cross Society Sitapur, relief materials received from the Red Cross State Branch were distributed to 150 erosion-affected families in the flood-affected area of Rampur Mathura, Tehsil Mahmoodabad. The distributed items included tarpaulins, kitchen sets, mosquito nets, stoves, masks, pulse oximeters, cotton clothes, etc. The program was inaugurated by Mr. Ramanand Katiyar, General Secretary of the Indian Red Cross Society, Uttar Pradesh State Branch, and the local MLA Hon’ble Gyan Tiwari. In his inaugural address, Mr. Ramanand Katiyar said that the purpose of the Red Cross is to serve humanity, and in this spirit, the relief materials have been distributed today to flood-affected families. He also informed that a Blood Group Directory will be created in every district of Uttar Pradesh so that needy people can get blood in times of disaster, and very soon a blood bank will be established at the Red Cross State Branch in Lucknow. MLA Shri Gyan Tiwari said that the support of the Red Cross is commendable, and whenever there is a need, the Red Cross comes forward to help the helpless during disasters. On this occasion, Mr. Ramanand Katiyar, General Secretary of Red Cross Uttar Pradesh, Hon’ble MLA Gyan Tiwari, Sub-Divisional Magistrate Shri Balakrishna Singh, Tehsildar Shri Anil Kumar Ram, Revenue Officer Shri Virendra Singh, Chairman Shri Sanjeev Mehrotra, Secretary Shri Lalit Srivastava, Coordinator Shri Riyaz Ahmad, members Shri Hasnain Sajid, Shri Omkar Singh (Research Scholar), and Revenue Officials Shri Gaurav Singh, Shri Dharmendra Kumar, Shri Arun Kumar Singh, Shri Himanshu Singh, and others provided commendable support.
