n 16th September 2025, Mr. Ramanand Katiyar, Hon’ble Secretary of the Indian Red Cross Society, Uttar Pradesh State Branch, visited District Jalaun. A meeting of the Indian Red Cross Society, District Branch, was held in the Collectorate Auditorium, Orai, under the chairmanship of the District Magistrate / District President of the Indian Red Cross Society.

While addressing the meeting, Secretary Mr. Ramanand Katiyar emphasized that in order to ensure Red Cross services reach the general public, the organization must be strengthened. He stressed the importance of organizing health camps, blood donation camps, adopting patients suffering from serious illnesses, conducting awareness programs to prevent the spread of infectious diseases, promoting personal hygiene, and increasing individual and institutional memberships.

He also introduced students to the Junior Red Cross at Vidyamandir Inter College, Orai, and participated in a tree plantation drive on the school premises. Later, he visited and inspected the Red Cross office.
