Shravasti, November 06, 2023. S.V. On the initiative of President, Indian Red Cross Society/District Magistrate Kritika Sharma, the elderly and disabled people of the district will get 28 types of assistive devices through the District Disabled Rehabilitation Center and ALIMCO run by the Indian Red Cross Society. For this, a testing camp will be organized in the district from November 17, 2023. To prepare for this, a one-day workshop was organized under the chairmanship of the District Magistrate in the Tathagata Auditorium located at the Collectorate. Under this, 28 types of assistive devices are to be given to the elderly above sixty years of age under the Vayoshree Scheme run by the Central Government under the aegis of the Red Cross Society. Along with this, such disabled people who have not received artificial limbs and assistive devices under any scheme within three years. They will get supporting equipment. For this, testing camps are to be organized at three places in each development block from November 17.
During this, the District Magistrate, while setting targets for all the departments, said that this is a scheme run by the Central Government, in which any person of any category whose income is Rs 15 thousand per month can avail the benefit. In this, glasses, teeth, walking stick, belt etc. are available free of cost to get relief from various types of problems. This scheme has come to Shravasti district on the initiative of the District Disabled Rehabilitation Center run by the Indian Red Cross Society. All responsible people should take at least 300 beneficiaries from each Panchayat to the testing camp to make this scheme successful. Along with this, teachers of every Anganwadi, Asha and every school should ensure to take ten beneficiaries to the centre. In this camp, a target has been set to provide free assistance to ten thousand senior citizens and disabled people. Panchayat department has special responsibility for this. Whereas the Child Development and Health Department will have to take the beneficiaries to the center at every level.
He told that this camp will be held on 17th November in Block Auditorium Sirsia, 18th November in CHC Laxmanpur, 20th November in SSB Talbaghoda, 21st November in Block Auditorium Bhangaha, 22nd November in Inter College Seminary Chauraha, 23rd November in PHC Hariharpurrani, 24th November in Block Auditorium Jamunha. November, 25th November in PHC Jamunha, 26th November in Seth Prabhudas Niranjan Inter College, 28th November in Block Auditorium Gilula, 29th November in CHC Sonawa, 30th November in Block Auditorium Ikauna as well as 01st December in PHC Semri Tarhar and Joint District Hospital. Will be held on December 02, 2023.

On this occasion, Alimco representatives Rishiraj and Shashank Shukla, Chief Medical Officer Dr. A.P. Singh, Deputy Commandant Vinod Nain from SSB, Social Welfare Officer Dr. Amarnath Yeti, Backward Class Welfare Officer Gaurav Khadayat, Executive Officer Municipal Council Bhinga and all the people of the district. Heads of Gram Panchayats, Aapda Mitra, Red Cross Treasurer Ravi Kumar Mishra, Pavnesh Shukla from Red Cross Management Committee, Rahul Pathak Balwinder Singh, Block Development Officers of all the blocks, Superintendents of Community Health Centers and district level officers were present.
