Red Cross Society Ghaziabad, with the courtesy of Rotary Club Ghaziabad Greater, adopted 50 TB patients today again in the august presence of Rotary District Governor, Mr. Prashant Raj Sharma at the National Unani Medical Institute, Ghaziabad. As per the wish of the Prime Minister, nutritious food packets were also distributed to all the eligible TB patients. While distributing nutritious packets to the patients, Mr. Prashant Raj Sharma said that now the time has come for patients to become aware. Nutritious food is also necessary along with medicines.

Red Cross Chairman Dr. Subhash Gupta said that mainly today's program was to create awareness about TB because people get discouraged due to ignorance and get isolated from their family and society.

Dr. Hina Muqim and Dr. Shabnam Ara of National Unani Medical Institute, Ghaziabad, unanimously informed all the patients present about the serious consequences of the disease and explained that the government now provides high quality medicines free of cost. The disease is not incurable. Along with taking medicines regularly, eat nutritious food and now Rotary and Red Cross are also providing relief to TB patients. We are concerned about the health of the people and are continuously distributing Poshan Potli.

In the program, Rotary Club Ghaziabad Greater President Neeraj Tyagi, Sandeep Miglani, Rakesh Chaturvedi, M.C. Gaur, Vipin Agarwal, Nagendra Samal, besides Ravindra Singh Archana Chauhan of the Health Department made a significant contribution.

At the end of the program, while discussing various aspects, Dr. Wasim thanked the Red Cross and Rotary on behalf of the hospital management.
