Physiotherapy centre inaugurated in district hospital on World Red Cross Day

Muzaffarnagar. A grand function was organised in Red Cross Bhawan on the occasion of Red Cross Day. In which Chief Medical Officer Dr Sunil Tewatia, Chief Medical Superintendent Dr Sanjay Verma along with many officials and dignitaries and life members of Red Cross Society were present as the chief guest. While conducting the programme, Red Cross Steering Committee Chairman Dr Ashok Arora said that Red Cross was established globally in the year 1862 and its founder is Sir Henry Donat ji who received the first peace prize. In India, this organisation is working in the whole country under the Act passed by the Parliament. 163 countries of the world are its members. He said that in Muzaffarnagar district also there are about 250 life members at present, whose number is being increased. He informed that soon an oxygen bank will also be established in the district through Red Cross. Addressing the beneficiaries and members on this occasion, CMO Dr. Sunil Tewatia said that in the coming few days, the work of formation of Red Cross Society will be completed and identity cards etc. will be given to everyone. He told that Red Cross has a very important role in the health sector. Especially when the clouds of war are looming in the country or abroad and in such a situation Red Cross is the best medium to help the injured soldiers. CMO appealed to the general public to cooperate in this work. While inaugurating the Physiotherapy Center in Red Cross Bhawan, he said that its services will be free for the general public. Apart from this, the Vice Chairman of the organization, Dr. Rajiv Kumar also expressed his views. Rohitash Verma also presented very useful suggestions regarding the operation of Red Cross Society. Hygiene kits were provided to women in the program. In this program, apart from the chief guest, Dr. Subhash Chandra Sharma, member Amit Patpatia, industrialist Neelkamalpuri, Dr. Vivek, Mani Patpatia, Ish Juneja, Dr. Shivansh, Dr. Vibhanshu, Dr. Sanjay Agarwal, Shivraj Singh, Deen Bahadur etc. were present as special guests. Apart from this, Dr. S.K. Jain, Dr. Mukesh also attended the program. In the Red Cross meeting, it was informed that an important meeting of health services was held at the District Magistrate's residence this morning, which was organized in the context of the current conditions of the country. Apart from the Chief Medical Officer, many officials of the Health Department participated in it. Health and District Information Officer Dr. Geetanjali Verma did it.
