On The Occasion Of National Women's Day, Indian Red Cross Society Organized A Program In The District Jail

On the occasion of National Women's Day, Indian Red Cross Society organized a program in the district jail. In which the chief guest, Chief Development Officer Dr. Aparajita Singh Sinsinwar, while offering flowers on the picture of 'Kachi and freedom fighter Sarojini Naidu', said that Sarojini Naidu was the first woman of independent India and the first governor of Uttar Pradesh. Who played an important role in the respect and rights of women and in getting freedom to the country. For which she had to go to jail many times. Secretary of Indian Red Cross Society Shahjahanpur, Dr. Vijay Johri said that the chief guest provided more support to the Red Cross in its activism. Sarojini Naidu returned Kesari Hind, the honor given to her by the British, saddened by the Jallianwala Bagh incident in Punjab. National Women's Day is celebrated on the occasion of her birthday. On this occasion, CDO distributed essential items of collective use like tarpaulin, solar, light, bucket etc. to the women prisoners in the jail in addition to hygiene material. Jailor Kushan Gupta, Counselor Women Family Center Shashi Prabha Kaushal expressed their views on this occasion. Sonia Rathore, Alpana Srivastava, Pooja Verma, Prachi Asthana, Dr. Anshita Gupta, Jyoti Gupta were present on this occasion. Red Cross District Secretary Dr. Vijay Johri informed the Chief Medical Officer of the jail that any prisoner suffering from tuberculosis will be adopted by Red Cross.
