Dr Anurag Srivastava, Chairman and Youth Icon of Indian Red Cross Society, who has geared up to make people aware with the sentiment of "TB will lose, the country will win", under the 100-day intensive TB campaign and under the guidance of District Magistrate Shri Ravindra Singh, again today on 04/02/25 at 10 am, TB awareness campaign was run among the officers and employees of Saraswati Vidya Mandir Inter College VIP Road and Office Krishi Bhawan. Dr Anurag told all the boys, girls and employees that India has the highest number of TB patients, TB usually occurs in the lungs and can also spread to other parts of the body, the main symptoms of TB are continuous cough for 2 weeks, sweating at night, bleeding from the mouth, chest pain, difficulty in breathing, weight loss, loss of appetite, fatigue, lumps in the neck, etc. Those who have such symptoms must get tested by showing them to the district hospital. It was also told that people above 60 years of age, malnourished people, diabetes patients, smokers and drug addicts are at higher risk of TB. People living with TB patients undergoing treatment, people affected by HIV and people living in slums are more likely to get affected. Also, for adopting TB patients, their parents and employees were requested to become Nishchay Mitras through the children. Also, TB awareness posters were put up in the school and pamphlets were distributed. At the end Dr Anurag administered an oath to all for TB free India. All the children and employees were raising slogans of TB will lose, the country will win. On this occasion, deputy director of agriculture Rammilan Singh Parihar, principal Narendra Singh, Ranjit Kumar Chourasiya, Harish Shrivastava, Mahesh Singh and key associate Abhinav Shrivastava, coordinator, homeopathic chemist cell, Indian Red Cross Society were present.
