Dr Anurag Srivastava, Chairman and Youth Icon of Indian Red Cross Society, who has geared up to make people aware with the sentiment of "TB will lose, the country will win", under the 100-day intensive TB campaign and under the guidance of District Magistrate Shri Ravindra Singh, today on 03/02/25 at 10 am, TB awareness campaign was run among the employees of Late Dr Satyanarayan Bharti Vidyalaya Higher Secondary School Arabpur, Shri Nirankari Girls Inter College and Office of Executive Engineer Electricity Distribution Section. Dr Anurag told all the boys, girls and employees that India has the highest number of TB patients, TB usually occurs in the lungs and can also spread to other parts of the body, the main symptoms of TB are continuous cough for 2 weeks, sweating at night, bleeding from the mouth, chest pain, difficulty in breathing, weight loss, loss of appetite, fatigue, lumps in the neck, etc. Those who have such symptoms must get tested by showing them to the district hospital. It was also told that people above 60 years of age are suffering from TB. People, malnourished people, diabetes patients, smokers and drug addicts, people living with TB patients undergoing treatment, HIV infected and people living in slums are more likely to be affected. Also, for adopting TB patients, their parents and employees were requested to become Nishchay Mitras through children. Also, TB awareness posters were put up in the school and leaflets were also distributed. In the end, Dr. Anurag also administered oath to everyone for TB free India. All the children and employees were shouting slogans of TB will lose, country will win. On this occasion, Principal Dr. Hemant Tripathi, Mrs. Priyanka Jaiswal, Executive Engineer Ratnesh Jaiswal, Chandresh Raijada along with teachers Jagroop, Rakesh Kumar, Manoj Kumar, Asrika Sachan, Shalini Singh, Meena Yadav, Ketki Rani and main associate Abhinav Srivastava, Convener Homeopathic Chemist Cell Indian Red Cross Society were present.
