Today on 11/01/25 at 10 am, a voluntary blood donation camp was organized at the District Hospital Blood Center under the aegis of the Indian Red Cross Society on the eve of Swami Vivekananda's birth anniversary and on the occasion of the 58th death anniversary of former Prime Minister Lal Bahadur Shastri. The camp was inaugurated by Dr. Rajiv Nayan Giri, Chief Medical Officer and special guest Mr. Pramod Tripathi, Principal Maharishi Vidya Mandir by cutting the ribbon. Then the Chief Medical Officer and Mr. Pramod Tripathi were honored by Chairman Dr. Anurag Srivastava by presenting badge decoration, garland and insignia. A total of 7 blood donations were made and 11 people also registered for the next camp. Dr. Nishat Shahabuddin, District Tuberculosis Officer, who donates blood every three months, donated blood himself in the camp and also gave a message to all the people to donate blood. Among those who donated blood for the first time were Mrs. Soni, Pharmacist CHC Hussainganj and life member Rituraj Nigam, Deepak Kumar Panchayat Secretary, Himanshu Kumar and other blood donors. Advisors Sanjay Srivastava and KK Singh were present. All the blood donors were encouraged by the Chief Medical Officer and Chairman by giving them certificates. Also, patient Mobin, age 55, who was suffering from TB infection as well as anemia and is admitted in the district hospital, had no donor, for which one unit of B positive blood was immediately provided by the Chief Medical Officer through the Indian Red Cross Society.

On this occasion, Ajit Singh Secretary, Life Member Gorelal, Chaitanya Kumar, Akhilesh Kumar, Danish Bakshi along with Dr. Anuj JR from the District Hospital Blood Bank, Dr. DK Verma Medical Officer, Dr. Chandravati Assistant Professor Medical College, Ashok Shukla Convenor Blood Transfusion Committee Indian Red Cross Society, Co-convenor Kaushal Srivastava, Deepali Verma, Brij Kishore, Vinod Kumar, Kamla Prasad, Sulabh Srivastava were present.
