Dr Anurag Srivastava, Chairman and Youth Icon of Indian Red Cross Society, who has geared up to make people aware with the sentiment of "TB will lose, the country will win", under the 100-day intensive TB campaign and under the guidance of District Magistrate Shri Ravindra Singh, again today on 7/1/25 at 9 am, TB awareness, water conservation and de-addiction campaign was run in Jai Maa Saraswati Gyan Mandir Inter College and Smt. Sundarmati Inter College Radhanagar. Dr Anurag told all the children that India has the highest number of TB patients, TB usually occurs in the lungs and can also spread to other parts of the body, the main symptoms of TB are continuous cough for 2 weeks, sweating at night, bleeding from the mouth, chest pain, difficulty in breathing, weight loss, loss of appetite, fatigue, lumps in the neck, etc. Those who have such symptoms must get tested by showing them to the district hospital. It was also told that people above 60 years of age, malnourished people, diabetes patients, smokers and drug addicts are at higher risk of TB. People living with TB patients undergoing treatment, HIV patients and people living in slums are more likely to get infected. Also, for adopting TB patients, their parents were requested to become Nishchay Mitras through children. Also, TB awareness posters were put up in schools. In the end, Dr. Anurag administered oath to all for TB free India. All the children were shouting slogans of TB will lose, country will win. Also, all the children were made aware about water conservation and de-addiction. In the direction of water conservation, all were made aware to install water bells and to collect and use the water wasted from RO. On this occasion, all the teachers including Vinay Pratap Singh, Ashok Maurya and main associate Chaitanya Kumar, convener of Divyang Cell, Indian Red Cross Society were present.
