The Annual General Meeting of the Indian Red Cross Society Uttar Pradesh State Branch was convened on 16th July 2024 at Raj Bhavan Lucknow.

On this occasion, the magazine titled "Uttar Pradesh Mein Red Cross Ke Badhte Kadam " was first released by the hands of Smt. Anandi Ben Patel, Hon'ble Governor of Uttar Pradesh / President Indian Red Cross Society Uttar Pradesh. Along with this, the foundation stone of the Red Cross Blood Bank, which will soon be built with state-of-the-art facilities in the Red Cross campus, was also laid by His Excellency by pressing the button. On this occasion, His Excellency emphasized on all government and private medical colleges and all universities of the state to join the Red Cross.

On this occasion, Dr. Himabindu Nayak, General Secretary, Red Cross Uttar Pradesh presented 100 sets of books for needy school children to His Excellency the Governor.

In this sequence, 15 District Magistrates and 1 Administrative Officer of the state who did commendable work in social service along with their work were honored with Utkrishta Seva Samman 2023 by His Excellency. Apart from this, 10 patron members, 28 volunteers and two institutions were also given certificates of appreciation by His Excellency. During the meeting, the Red Cross institution present and representatives from different districts shared their experiences and suggestions.

On this occasion, Shri Brajesh Pathak, Deputy Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh / Chairman Red Cross Uttar Pradesh was also present. In the meeting, along with the Vice-Chairman, Shri Akhilendra Shahi,  Dr. Himabindu Naik General Secretary, Shri Arun Singh, Treasurer, apart from Red Cross members from across the state, many dignitaries were also present.
