In Shahjahanpur campus Chief Medical Officer's office, India Red Cross Society gave Vinoba Seva Ashram's Program Officer Kamal Singh Sanjha Prayas Network an opportunity to speak on MTP Act among ASHAs of development block Kat. All ASHAs were informed through pamphlets that every woman has the right to get an abortion done whenever needed till 20 weeks. Now amendment has been done in 21, so the time period of abortion has been increased from 20 weeks to 24 weeks. Women should not take medicine from medical store on their own. Medicine should be taken only on the advice of a doctor. For abortion service, service should be taken in district hospital or recognized nursing home only. Under MTP Act, every woman has the right to get an abortion done. The earlier abortion is started, the safer it is and the service should be taken only by a trained doctor. On this occasion, Dr. Vijay Johri, the Executive District Secretary of India Red Cross Society, while giving information about the society, said that only if the women society is healthy, the society will be healthy. The information given about MTP Act, all of you should give information in your field through your medium. It is very important to spread the message of MTP Act law in every village, only then women will be able to get the service on time. India Red Red Cross Society has been working for public welfare at the global level for the past several years. The district secretary informed that ASHAs play a leading role in the health sector in villages. ASHAs are conscious about the health of every village and timely service reaches every needy family.
