Program Description
Mathura: World Red Cross Day was celebrated with grandeur at Braj Kala Kendra located in Masani on Wednesday.

In the program, a posthumous felicitation ceremony was organized for the old senior and deceased members of the organization by the members of the Indian Red Cross Society Mathura branch.
For the first time in the program, educationist Dr. Z. Hasan, who was presiding over the program on the picture of the father of Red Cross, Sir Henry Dunant, Chairman of Indian Red Cross Society Mathura, Mahesh Khandelwal, Vice Chairman Vrishbhan Goswami, program coordinators Dr. CM Mawar, Vinod Banerjee, Dr. D.P. Wreaths and lamp lighting were done collectively by Goyal, Dr. Neetu Goswami, LS Acharya, Sarika Khandelwal.

In this program, such members were honored who made important contributions to the organization and took the organization forward and served the society by doing social work. Among these members, Late Dr. Girdhari Lal Aggarwal, PD Acharya, Chandra Kishore Pathak, Dr. MG Shaha, Dr. NK Bhartia etc. were honored with certificates and clothes to their families posthumously.
Along with this, Dr. KM Aggarwal, Dr. Deepshikha Engineer, Kavita Saxena, Amrit Khandelbal, Shiv Kumar Gupta, Dinesh Khandelwal, Ajay Kumar Aggarwal, Treasurer Sarthak Chaturvedi, Rajiv Khandelwal, etc. were honored.
  Along with this, Braj's promising daughter Surmya Sharma, who was recently selected in UPSC, was also honoured.
The founding of the Red Cross and the life of Sir Henry Dunot were highlighted in detail by L.S. Acharya. His impressive statement inspired other people to join this organization. Dr. Z Hasan said that social service is a noble work. He narrated an incident and told that God is present wherever someone needs service. In such a situation, those who do service work. His compassion becomes easy on them.

Chairman Mahesh Khandelwal said that this day inspires us to work for the service of humanity. Binod Banerjee recited a poem based on Red Cross. Vrishabhan Goswami said that we all should take an oath that whenever we are needed by anyone, we will help him as much as possible. This day is an inspirational day, hence we should adopt this inspiration of social service in our lives. Dr. Neetu Goswami said in his statement that a human being is one who is useful to others. Service to suffering humanity is our first duty. This service undoubtedly gives us spiritual peace. Dr. Deen Dayal's book Impotent was also released in the programme. Also, a demo of how CPR can be given to an injured person in an emergency was given by the students of their college.
