Shravasti, May 08, 2024. S.V. On World Red Cross Day in the district, a huge blood donation camp was organized in the blood bank of the Joint District Hospital. The camp was inaugurated by District Magistrate/President Kritika Sharma by cutting the ribbon. Aapda Mitras of the district participated enthusiastically in this camp and made this camp the biggest blood donation camp of this year. A total of 22 Aapda Mitras made a record of the largest camp by donating blood in this camp. Along with this, blood donors also appealed to all the citizens of the district to vote.

While inaugurating the blood donation camp organized at the blood bank of Joint Hospital, Bhinga, District Magistrate Kritika Sharma, while congratulating everyone on Red Cross Day, said that on the occasion of Red Cross Day, the disaster friends of the district did commendable work and made this blood donation camp the biggest of this year. Blood donation camp has been set up. For this, Red Cross and Aapda Mitra deserve congratulations. World Red Cross Day is celebrated all over the world on 8 May by Red Cross, an organization dedicated to humanity. The district branch has made the organization of this day successful by donating blood in large numbers on this day.

Organizing Secretary of the program, Arun Kumar Mishra said that like last year, this year too Red Cross has organized the biggest blood donation camp in the district. This blood donation camp is special because this time for the first time Aapda Mitras have donated blood. Due to lack of awareness about blood donation in the district, blood donation is mostly done by SSB and police force only. There is reluctance among social organizations and common citizens towards donating blood while the need for blood is continuously increasing. Therefore, this blood donation will not only improve the health of the blood bank of the district but will also motivate the common people to donate blood.
