The unit of Indian Red Cross Society Deoria celebrated the birthday of Henry Dunant, the founder of Red Cross Society with great enthusiasm by organizing a debate competition on the topic "Everything we do comes from the heart" on the occasion of World Red Cross Day on 8th May. On this occasion, the children who got first, second and third places in the competition, as well as all the participants were honored by giving clothes and mementos. On Monday, the program started at the ground of Yug Nirman Senior Secondary School in the city, Dr. TP Singh, Vice President of Indian Red Cross Society, Deoria, Chief Guest, Vikas Tiwari, District Coordinator of Nehru Yuva Kendra Deoria, Guest of Honor, Ajay Pratap Singh, Divisional Coordinator of Indian Red Cross Society. Vishnu Agarwal, Deputy Conservator of the Indian Red Cross Society, Deoria, offered flowers and lit a lamp on the picture of Maa Saraswati. The program was presided over by Akhilendra Shahi, Deputy Chairman, Indian Red Cross Society, Uttar Pradesh and Ravikant Mani Tripathi, Member, Managing Committee, Indian Red Cross Society State Branch, Uttar Pradesh. Himanshu Kumar Singh, Rana Pratap Singh and Shahista Parveen acted as judges of the debate competition. During this, the chief guest said in his address that Red Cross volunteers are always ready to serve the people in any disease, emergency or war crisis. Vikas Tiwari said that this organization has been awarded the Nobel Prize three times so far for doing excellent work for public welfare in its field. Sir Henry Dunant, the founder of this institution, was the first person in the world to be awarded the Nobel Prize. Akhilendra Shahi said in his presidential address that Red Cross has made an unprecedented contribution in the whole world to help humanity. In case of any disease, emergency or war crisis, their volunteers are always ready to serve the people. In the debate competition, Pooja Kushwaha stood first, Mansi Pandey second, Vaishnavi Singh and Ayush Chaurasia third and Swati Pandey, Aditya Jaiswal, Neetu Sharma, Reet Shail, Disha Jaiswal, Priya Singh and Ankita Pathak were awarded consolation prizes. . At the same time, Shreya Singh, Prachi Singh, Shraddha Madheshiya, Shalu Dwivedi, Nishu Kushwaha and Binu Jaiswal, who brought respectable place in the district in UP Board Exam 2023, were also honored. Hundreds of students from different schools including Javed Ahmed Shailesh Yadav Rahul Dubey, Sajjad Ali Rampravesh Bharti, Ram Milan Singh, Sanjay Gupta, Devvrat Pandey, Kamlesh Singh were present on this occasion.
