Today, on May 8, 2023, the birth anniversary of the father of the Red Cross Society, Sir Henry Dunott, was celebrated as International Red Cross Day at the headquarters of the Red Cross building, Kaiserbagh, Lucknow. First of all, the wreath on the statue of Sir Henry Dunnot was done by Dr. Hima Bindu Nayak, General Secretary of the state branch. At the time of wreath laying, Mr. Arun Kumar Singh, Treasurer, Mr. Amarnath Mishra, Secretary, District Red Cross Branch, Mr. Shafiq Zama, Legal Advisor, State Branch, along with representatives of 18 districts and Red Cross staff participated.

      After garlanding, the paintings, collages and slogans made by the children of different schools on the subject of Save Soil, Volunteerism and Covid-19 were selected for the first, second and third prizes.

           A seminar was also organized on this occasion. In which Dr. Himabindu Nayak, General Secretary remembered the contribution of Sir Henry Dunant and inspired us to work together for world peace.
