International Labor Day******** Child labor is a crime******** Workshop organized to prevent child labor******** *To build a positive safety and health culture Work International Labor Day was celebrated with the theme of May 01, 2023. ****** Workers were honored ******* Appealed not to do child labor by the Chairman Child Welfare Committee.** ******* Information given regarding Child Labor (Prohibition and Regulation) Act 1986 and *Amendment Bill 2016********* *Today *on the occasion of International Labor Day in the auditorium of Maples Academy Budhana A program was organized to honor the workers, in which the guest of the program Mr. Pravesh Kumar, Branch Manager, State Bank of India, Budhana Town, Mrs. Ritu Manchanda and Mrs. Paridhi felicitated women and men workers by garlanding them and presenting them with gifts. International Labor Day was organized by Dr. Rajeev Kumar, District Muzaffar Nagar. The chairman of the Child Welfare Committee appealed to all the workers present that child labor is a crime, not to employ child labor in the workshop and information was given about the Child Labor (Prohibition and Regulation) Act 1986 and the Amendment Bill 2016. Under the said act, the employer can be punished for 02 years and a fine of Rs. 50,000 / or both for getting child labor done. The branch manager congratulated all the workers on the occasion of International Labor Day. It is celebrated every year on 01 May to honor the workers and their contribution in nation building. International Workers' Day started on 01 May 1889. International Labor Day was celebrated for the first time on 01 May 1923 in India (in Chennai). Under the direction and guidance of District Magistrate Mr. Arvind Mallappa Bangari, Chief Development Officer Mr. Sandeep Bhagia and District Probation Officer Ms. Maitri Rastogi, various types of public awareness programs are being organized continuously in Muzaffar Nagar district.
