Dr Anurag Srivastava, Chairman and Youth Icon of Indian Red Cross Society, who has geared up to make people aware with the sentiment of "TB will lose, the country will win", again today on 16/1/25 at 2 pm TB awareness campaign was run in Government Girls Inter College under the 100-day intensive TB campaign and under the guidance of District Magistrate Shri Ravindra Singh. Dr Anurag told all the girls that India has the highest number of TB patients, TB usually occurs in the lungs and can also spread to other parts of the body, the main symptoms of TB are continuous cough for 2 weeks, sweating at night, bleeding from the mouth, chest pain, difficulty in breathing, weight loss, loss of appetite, fatigue, lumps in the neck etc. Those who have such symptoms must get tested by showing them to the district hospital. It was also told that people above 60 years of age, malnourished people, diabetes patients, smokers and drug addicts, people living with TB patients undergoing treatment, HIV People living in slums and affected areas are more likely to be affected. Also, for adopting TB patients, their parents were requested to become Nishchay Mitras through the children. Also, TB awareness posters were put up in the school. In the end, Dr. Anurag administered an oath to all for a TB free India. All the children were shouting slogans that TB will lose, the country will win. Also, all the children were made aware about de-addiction. On this occasion, Principal Mrs. Alka, teachers Kalpana Bharti, Rashmi Rai, Pratibha Bhadoria, Sushma Dubey, Senior TB Treatment Supervisor Ajit Singh, Naseem, Rakesh Kumar PPM and Vishnubabu were present. Based on the information given by Indian Red Cross Society Disabled Cell coordinator Chaitanya Kumar, Muqeem Ahmed, age 35, is a resident of Kurastikala, Police Station Malwa. He is admitted in the district hospital, there is no one with him. His neighbors are helping him. His hemoglobin is 6.5 grams, the doctor advised to transfuse one unit of O positive blood, but O positive was not available in the district hospital. As soon as Indian Red Cross Society chairman Dr Anurag came to know about this, he immediately arranged blood for him today on 16/1/25 at 1 pm by talking to Shyam Blood Bank and Red Cross life member Praveenprasun Srivastava.
